نخستین کانون شمشیربازی دانش‌آموزان ایران، روز پنجشنبه در مراسمی با حضور جمعی از مسئولان و ورزشکاران در سالن خاتم یزد افتتاح شد.

رئیس فدراسیون شمشیربازی در آیین افتتاح این کانون، به اهمیت توسعه این ورزش از سطح مدارس با همکاری مسئولان آموزش‌وپرورش اشاره کرد و گفت: تقویت تیم‌های ملی و پشتوانه‌سازی، در گرو راه‌اندازی مدارس مرتبط در کشور است.

علیرضا پورسلمان از هیئت شمشیربازی، مسئولان ورزش یزد و همچنین اداره‌کل آموزش‌وپرورش این استان برای همکاری در راه‌اندازی نخستین کانون شمشیربازی دانش‌آموزان تشکر کرد و افزود: یکی از اهداف فدراسیون، راه‌اندازی این‌گونه مدارس در کشور است.

همچنین سید احمد هاشمی، مدیرکل ورزش و جوانان یزد، به اهمیت تعامل با مدارس و ادارات آموزش‌وپرورش با مسئولان ورزشی در مناطق مختلف اشاره کرد و گفت: یکی از بهترین راه‌ها برای توسعه ورزش، ارتباط با مدارس و شناسایی استعدادهاست.

علی دهقان، مدیرکل آموزش‌وپرورش استان نیز از راه‌اندازی نخستین کانون شمشیربازی دانش‌آموزان در این استان ابراز خرسندی کرد و تقویت ورزش مدارس با همکاری هیئت‌های مختلف، به‌ویژه رشته شمشیربازی را مورد تأکید قرار داد.

این کانون در طول سال نسبت به شناسایی، جذب و آموزش دانش‌آموزان دختر و پسر علاقه‌مند به رشته شمشیربازی فعالیت می‌کند.

هم‌اکنون حدود یک‌هزار نفر در این رشته در استان فعالیت دارند و ۲۰ نفر از شمشیربازان یزدی عضو تیم‌های ملی هستند.

استان یزد با یک‌میلیون و ۳۰۰ هزار نفر جمعیت، ۵۵ هیئت ورزشی و بیش از ۸۰ هزار ورزشکار تحت پوشش بیمه دارد.

Inauguration of Iran’s First Student Fencing Club in Yazd

Iran’s first student fencing club was inaugurated on Thursday during a ceremony attended by officials and athletes at Khatam Hall in Yazd.

The President of the Fencing Federation emphasized the importance of developing the sport from the school level through cooperation with the Ministry of Education, stating that strengthening the national teams depends on establishing related schools across the country.

Alireza Poursalman thanked the Yazd Fencing Committee, local sports officials, and the Provincial Education Department for their collaboration in launching the first student fencing club, adding that one of the Federation’s goals is to set up such schools nationwide.

Seyed Ahmad Hashemi, Director General of Sports and Youth of Yazd Province, stressed the importance of cooperation between schools, education departments, and sports authorities, saying that one of the best ways to grow sports is through school-based talent identification.

Ali Dehghan, Director General of Yazd’s Department of Education, expressed satisfaction with the launch of the fencing club and underlined the importance of strengthening school sports in cooperation with various athletic committees, especially fencing.

The club will operate throughout the year to identify, recruit, and train interested male and female students in the sport of fencing.

Currently, about 1,000 individuals are active in fencing across the province, and 20 fencers from Yazd are members of national teams.

Yazd Province, with a population of 1.3 million, has 55 athletic federations and over 80,000 insured athletes.
