رئیس فدراسیون سوارکاری: کسب سهمیه المپیک ۲۰۲۸ را هدف گذاری کرده ایم

رئیس فدراسیون سوارکاری با اظهار اینکه صنعت پرورش اسب در روستاهای کشور رواج یافته است، گفت:  ورزش سوارکاری به قشر خاصی تعلق ندارد و هدف ما کسب سهمیه المپیک است تا این رشته بیش از پیش دیده شود.

The president of the Equestrian Federation stated that the horse breeding industry has become popular in rural areas of the country and said: “Equestrian sports don’t belong to a particular social class, and our goal is to secure an Olympic quota so this sport gets more visibility.”

Mohammad Kazemian said on Tuesday night at the annual meeting of the Horse Riding Board of Fars province: “We have developed a four-year program for the federation using artificial intelligence, and as I mentioned, our aim is to secure a spot for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.”

Misconception

He continued: “Currently, people in different parts of our country are investing in horse breeding and equestrian activities in rural areas.”

Kazemian stated: “Most of society believes that horseback riding is a sport for the wealthy, but that’s not the case, as equestrian sports do not belong to a specific class.”

Plans for the Paralympics and Parasports

The president of the Equestrian Federation, while discussing the Paralympic and parasports competitions, added: “We have plans for disabled athletes and those with different abilities to also participate in parasports, and we urge provincial boards to establish parasports committees in their regions.”

Sending Riders to Qatar

Kazemian mentioned: “The opportunity to send Arabian horses from our country to participate in endurance events, horse shows, and races in Qatar has been arranged, and many of the world’s top riders will be present, making it the best chance for Iran’s equestrian sports.”

Fars Ranks Third in the Country

The president of the Equestrian Federation stated: “Fars is one of the special provinces in this field, and we are very happy that this province ranked third in the country in the 2023 assessment.”

Fars Can Host International Competitions

The director general of sports and youth in Fars province also mentioned at this gathering: “By completing and equipping the horse riding complex in the city of Raz Lapuyi in Zarqan County, we can host international competitions by building a standard track.”

Abdolrahim Khodajoo said: “The Horse Riding Board is one of our strong committees in organizing events in this sport, and I congratulate the organizers and riders on achieving the country’s third place.”

He continued: “Success in the Youth Olympic Games and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics is among the four-year goals of the Fars General Sports and Youth Administration.”

There are over 480 organized athletes in Fars

The spokesperson for the Fars Equestrian Federation said, “We have over 480 organized athletes participating in various disciplines such as jumping, racing, endurance, dressage (performing coordinated movements), martial arts, and horseback shows.”

Karim Namavar added, “Currently, there are 160 active clubs and 500 horse breeding centers in Fars, and 32 counties have their own federations.”
