قهرمان جوان آلمان پس از نقره المپیک پاریس، به دنبال درخشش در مسابقات جهانی دوومیدانی توکیو
در سن تنها 25 سالگی، لئو نویگبائر توانسته نام خود را در دنیای دکاتلون جاودانه کند. این ورزشکار آلمانی با ثبت رکورد ملی 8961 امتیاز، نقره المپیک پاریس 2024 را کسب کرد و اکنون آماده است تا در مسابقات جهانی دوومیدانی 2025 در توکیو بار دیگر مدالآور شود.
او در گفتوگویی با World Athletics+ درباره مسیر حرفهای، عشقش به ورزش و نقش رسانههای اجتماعی صحبت کرد و گفت: «یک دکاتلون کامل و محکم در توکیو، برایم بسیار ارزشمند خواهد بود. هدفم این است که از دوران دانشگاهی به حرفهای گذر کنم و این تغییر بزرگی است.»
نویگبائر افزود: «آنچه میخواهم انجام دهم، معرفی و گسترش دکاتلون است. بسیاری از مردم خارج از دنیای دوومیدانی اصلاً نمیدانند دکاتلون چیست. هدف من این است که به دنیا نشان دهیم ما چه کار بزرگی انجام میدهیم و در آن عالی هستیم.»
او همچنین از حمایت هواداران قدردانی کرد و گفت: «از هر کسی که برای گرفتن عکس سراغم میآید، سپاسگزارم. این برایم افتخار بزرگی است که میتوانم الهامبخش دیگران باشم.»

Young German decathlete eyes another podium finish at World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025
At the age of just 25, Leo Neugebauer has already left his mark on the world of combined events. The German record-holder in the decathlon with a whopping 8961 points secured silver at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and is now aiming to repeat that medal-winning performance at the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25.
Speaking to World Athletics+, Neugebauer shared his thoughts about professional transition, his love for the sport, and the role of social media: “A really solid overall decathlon in Tokyo – I would be really happy with that. Just a solid transition into professional life, because going from collegiate to professional is a lot different. That’s the goal – what would make the season really good.”
He added: “What I want to do is spread the decathlon, like what we do. Many people outside track and field don’t know what the decathlon is. Having exposure and showing people what we do and that we are really good at it – that’s my goal.”
Neugebauer also thanked his fans: “I’m so thankful for everybody who comes up and asks for a picture because I don’t take it for granted. To be an inspiration to somebody is a great honor.”
