Balochistan’s Rider Wins National Camel Racing Championship in Iran | Eid al-Adha Event Hosted by Yazd

The national camel racing championship took place in Bafgh, Yazd Province, with the presence of Alireza Pasandideh, head of the Federation of Rural, Nomadic Sports and Traditional Games; Hashemi, Director of Youth and Sports; Nargani, Deputy of Sports Development; Reza Fallah, Governor of Bafgh; and other officials. Top riders from various provinces competed in this grand event.

At the end of the race, Hossein Bamari from Sistan and Baluchestan crossed the finish line in the shortest possible time and secured first place.

The race was held over a 2,000-meter course. Mohammad Shahrollahi from Kerman and Saeed Hoot from Sistan and Baluchestan earned second and third place respectively.

The champion camel was owned by Abdolvahid Bamari. The camels ranked second and third were owned by Naser Jahangiri and Shirmohammad Narouei.

During the closing ceremony, Alireza Pasandideh emphasized the importance of such competitions, stating the goal is to identify national talents in camel racing and enhance athletes’ abilities. He noted that nearly 15 provinces are actively involved and there’s great potential to participate in international events. He expressed intentions to further develop this traditional sport.
