Manchester City is going through its worst days with Pep Guardiola during these weeks, while Rodri, the Spanish midfielder who claimed the 2024 Ballon d’Or, is sidelined due to injury and is currently recovering.

As City hasn’t won in their last six games, the Spain international hopes for a stunning return before the season ends and believes that the Ballon d’Or has inspired him.

Rodri told FourFourTwo, “Everything seems to be going well with the recovery training. It’s nice to spend time here with my family. The energy they give me is important. The Ballon d’Or was like an oxygen capsule for me during my injury.”

He also commented on his return to the field, saying, “I want to come back this season. It’s important to me. I don’t know if I can, but I’d love to be able to play in the last month or two of the season and finish it off as I recover from my injury.”
