The president of the International Equestrian Federation has agreed to set up a training camp for Iran’s national teams in Europe to secure Olympic qualifications.

A special meeting took place between the president of the International Federation and the Solidarity Department with the head of the Equestrian Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the sidelines of the global conference for this sport.

In this meeting, which was coordinated in advance at the request of the Iranian federation, a report on the key activities undertaken since the new federation team started its work and the initiatives supported by the Minister of Sports was presented to the president of the International Equestrian Federation, receiving his approval and encouragement.

Mohammad Kazemian, while considering the most important objectives of the Iranian Equestrian Federation, submitted his long-term vision and plans to the president of the International Equestrian Federation.

In this session, the Iranian Equestrian Federation emphasized the importance of building support and developing infrastructure, hosting World Cup competitions, and establishing a training camp for the Iranian national equestrian teams in the regional hub where the most international equestrian activities take place, with the aim of gaining international experience and securing Olympic qualifications for Iranian athletes.

It was also agreed that with the support of the FEI, experienced international coaches will be brought in to train Iranian riders, particularly those at the grassroots level, while training sessions for judges and stewards will be held virtually.

The ongoing efforts of the Iranian Equestrian Federation to smarten up the country’s equestrian systems using artificial intelligence were also highlighted.

At the end, Jean Philippe, the head of FEI Solidarity Education, promised to facilitate FEI coaching system classes in jumping and endurance disciplines in Iran.
