باقری: اعزام چهار وزنه‌بردار دختر به مسابقات جهانی بحرین قطعی نیست/ انتظار مدال نداریم

مشاور فنی تیم ملی وزنه‌برداری زنان از شرط و شروط خاص برای اعزام دختران ایرانی به رقابت‌های جهانی بحرین سخن به میان آورد.

The technical advisor of the women’s national weightlifting team discussed the specific conditions for sending Iranian girls to the world competitions in Bahrain.

Kourosh Bagheri talked about the conditions of the women’s national team’s training camp before heading to the 2024 World Weightlifting Championships in Bahrain, saying: “Very good training camps have been held, and the girls in Iran are practicing hard. We have submitted the names of four athletes for the competitions, but sending their names doesn’t guarantee their participation; we have certain criteria that the Iranian girls need to meet in order to be sent.”

He continued, “Until the time of the competitions, we will hold record evaluations; if the Iranian girls achieve the specified records, we will send them to Bahrain. That’s the condition for their participation. If all four girls meet these records, there will be no issue in sending them, but if they don’t, it’s possible that no girl will be sent to the world competitions.”

In response to a question about the criteria for success at the Bahrain World Championships, the technical advisor for women’s weightlifting in Iran said: “If the measure of success in Bahrain is winning medals, I can say right now that we don’t have high chances for that. The competition will be at the highest level, but we need to evaluate how much the records of the Iranian girls have improved compared to the previous event.”

The World Weightlifting Championships in Bahrain in 2024 will take place starting from December 7 in the city of Manama. For participation in these competitions, the weightlifting federation has included the names of Seyedeh Elham Hosseini, Ghazaleh Hosseini, Elaheh Razaghi, and Reyhaneh Karimi on the initial list for sending.
