رئیس فدراسیون جودو گفت: با مربیان خارجی در حال مذاکره هستیم و به خودمان قول دادیم تا در رویدادهای مهم به موفقیت برسیم.

The president of the Judo Federation said: “We are negotiating with foreign coaches and we have promised ourselves to achieve success in important events.”

Arash Mirasmaili, on the sidelines of the ceremony honoring the champions of the second phase of the revolution, stated: “It was a very good ceremony organized by the sports Basij, where teenage and young medal-winning athletes from various disciplines were honored. These champions are the golden generation of Iranian sports and will earn many medals in the world and Olympics in the coming years.”

He added: “These ceremonies boost athletes’ motivation. It is our duty and that of the officials to support them.”

Mirasmaili expressed: “We were suspended from judo for four years, faced very tough conditions, and many of our athletes lost motivation and even switched to other sports. Nevertheless, we invested in the youth and juniors, and after the suspension, our kids came back strong, proving this with their great results in international events.”

The president of the Judo Federation continued: “You will soon hear good news. We promised ourselves to achieve success in the Asian Games and the Olympics.”

Regarding talent scouting in schools, he said: “This is the blind spot of sports in Iran. In all countries, talent scouting starts from schools, and we need to follow that path. I won my first medal at the student Olympics, so we must accept that this subject is very important and will definitely help sports.”

The president of the Judo Federation noted: “Given our judo situation, we are looking for a foreign coach. We’ve negotiated with every option, but due to the regional conditions, things are moving cautiously. We’ve spoken with two good Russian options, and they have asked for time until the regional situation calms down. Unfortunately, there’s negative publicity against our country, but we will continue our negotiations.”

He said: “We will send girls and boys in judo to Russia to participate in training camps and competitions in that country. We have a tough and challenging year ahead, and rest assured, the individuals we are investing in have the ability to succeed and win medals.”
