مدیرعامل باشگاه شداب یزد گفت: برای حضور در جام باشگاه‌های جهان خواهان جذب حمزه زرینی شدیم اما برای اینکه این بازیکن ۵ روز در اختیار ما قرار بگیرد درخواست ۲۰ هزار دلار کردند.

Amir Sharafat, the CEO of Shadab Yazd Club, regarding the rumors about the volleyball team withdrawing from the Club World Cup, stated: “Last night, we sent the preliminary list of the team to the International Federation; however, this does not mean our participation in the Club World Cup is guaranteed. Unfortunately, up until now, aside from one team, no other teams have cooperated in bringing players to us; meanwhile, participating in the Club World Cup has a national significance.”

He added: “Initially, we requested to sign Amirhossein Sadati and Mohammad Tahr Vadi, but our request was denied. Then we sought to sign Hamzeh Zareeni, and it’s odd that they asked for $20,000 for just five days of having this player with us.”

The CEO of Shadab emphasized: “When we couldn’t secure these players, we asked the Urmia municipality to lend us Arshia Behnazhad as a supplementary player, but unfortunately, there was no cooperation on that front. They didn’t even answer Milad Taghavi’s calls; he put in a lot of effort to keep this team in the league. Fortunately, Pash Gorgan and Sang Dooni personally cooperated with us, providing Shayan Shahsavand as a supplementary player. We are also trying to recruit one of Fazel Pazhuhan or Arshia Behnazhad for the setter position.”

In conclusion, Sharafat noted: “We want to participate in the Club World Cup, but we will make the final decision next week. The strange thing is that all the players we negotiated with wanted to be auxiliary players for Shadab, but the clubs didn’t cooperate in this regard. We are coordinating with Foolad Sirjan regarding whether we will withdraw or not from the Club World Cup, and whatever decision we make will be a joint decision between the two clubs.”
